Wow. Lagger!

Um... I should have clarified that I moved my blogging "operation" over to Tumblr. Tumblr is just easier for me to work with. If you want to check it out:

Some Eschatology...

You shouldn't need a doctorate of theology to understand the bible, and Mike's teaching on Revelation is simple and easy to understand. That's what I like about it. God's not in the business of making things overly hard to understand... that's why we miss what He's saying so often because we love to complicate things.

A Citizen of Heaven

I had an epiphany. I'm a citizen of Heaven, no longer a citizen of America, though I still get to retain that status. When I think about my identity in Heaven, it forces me to see the world around me in a different light. Through the eyes of a citizen of Heaven, I see the pain of the lost clearly and my heart burns for them more fiercely longing that they come into a loving relationship with my Dad, the Father of Lights.

Who would have thought that Patriotism and furthering of the Kingdom of Heaven are not the same things!

I used to think so. Boy was I wrong.

Think about it for a minute. It'll rock your world. America is much more hostile to the purposes of God than I ever knew. Heaven's agenda for America might be different than we all thought.

My Political Statement

Though I know who I will be voting for because I believe strongly in protecting Life and traditional family I want to officially say that I don't believe that followers of Jesus should trust in a politician to see God's morals and laws prevail in the land.

Also, it is not the government's job to take care of the poor. It is the church's job.

I, as a Christian, do not swear allegiance to either a Republican nor a Democrat. I swear allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ, and work only for the good of His Kingdom. I hope others do the same.

The question that tears my heart in two...

What will God do to end abortion in America if we the people of America don't put an end to it ourselves?

Psalm 94:20-23,
"20 Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law,
Have fellowship with You?
21 They gather together against the life of the righteous,
And condemn innocent blood.
22 But the LORD has been my defense,
And my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He has brought on them their own iniquity,
And shall cut them off in their own wickedness;
The LORD our God shall cut them off.

This is the question that I keep asking myself. The emerging trend in our political process currently underway in the United States indicates that the majority of citizens are wanting to move further away from traditional values and laws. In progressive thought, the unborn fetus is a sub-human, not given even the right to life.

How long will God allow this to go on?

"I tremble when i reflect that God is just, and that his justice will not sleep forever."-Thomas Jefferson.

Psalm 119:120,
"My flesh trembles for fear of You, And I am afraid of Your judgments."
